Lou (Marriage - 21 June 1956)
The marriage
of Miss Sharon Lou Pope to Kenneth Arthur Ellenbecker took place at
St. Louis Catholic church, Dorchester, Thursday morning, June 21,
at 9 a.m.
The Rev.
Gerald Schuh heard the exchange of vows during the double-ring
ceremony, and sang the High Mass following the ceremony.
Best man and
matron of honor were the groom’s brother-in-law and sister,
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Gruber, St. Paul, Minn. The bride’s
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Buse, Withee,
completed the bridal party.
Ushers were
Lowell Maxam, uncle of the bride, and Wilfred Heindl, an uncle of
the groom.
Breakfast
and dinner were served at the home of the bride’s
parents.
Both young
people are graduates of Dorchester high school. Following a wedding
trip to the western states, they will make their home on the
groom’s farm west of Dorchester.
Guests attending the wedding were from Abbotsford, Athens, Medford, Stetsonville, Thorp, Wausau, Withee, Milwaukee and St. Paul, Minn.
