Elstrom,
Shirley (Marriage - 14 July 1956)
Miss Shirley
Elstrom chose a dress of lace over satin for her marriage Saturday
to Robert Kollmansberger. Tiny covered buttons extended down the
front of the bodice, designed with a portrait neckline and long
sleeves. The bouffant skirt was floor length. Her veil was
fingertip length and her bouquet was made up of pink roses and
white carnations.
The new Mrs.
Kollmansberger is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Elstrom, Colby,
and the groom is the son of Robert Kollmansberger, Loyal.
The marriage
ceremony took place at 3 p.m. at Christ Lutheran church, with the
Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating.
The
bride’s attendants were Miss Myra Kollmansberger, sister of
the groom; Miss Rita Weix, friend of the bride; and Mrs. Arthur
Wherman, friend of the couple.
Their
partners were Chester Franke, friend of the groom; Arthur Wherman
and Florian Seichter, both friends of the bride and groom. Ushers
were Duane Elstrom and Robert Stevens.
The
bride’s attendants wore white strapless dresses of net over
taffeta, and carried purple mums and white carnations.
"The
Lord’s Prayer" and "O Promise Me" were sung for the
ceremony.
One hundred
and fifty guests attended the wedding. A supper in the church
basement followed the afternoon ceremony, and a dance at Kolby park
in the evening brought the day’s festivities to a
close.
Guests
attending the wedding came from Chicago, Bellwood, Highland Park,
Highwood Lake, Forest Lake Bluff; Toledo, Ohio; Minneapolis, Minn.;
Chippewa Falls, Owen, Loyal, Spencer, and Bristol.
The bride, a graduate of Colby high school, and the groom, who was graduated from Loyal high school, plan to make their home in Loyal.
