Mr. and Mrs.
John Busse celebrated their silver wedding anniversary Sunday.
Relatives attended a dinner at the home, in the afternoon open
house was held from 2:00 to 4:00 o’clock.
A four tier
wedding cake was baked for the occasion by Mrs. Otto
Busse.
Mr. and Mrs.
Busse have farmed in the town of Holton since their marriage 25
years ago. Mrs. Busse came from Avon, South
Dakota.
Relatives
here for the occasion were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bertus,
of Albany, Oregon; and a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
John Bertus, of Avon, South Dakota; Mrs. Bertha Schmidt and Julius
Ziemer, Weyaywega; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Schulz, of Brillion; Mrs.
Oscar Krueger, Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. Augusta Zimmerman, Reedsville;
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Seehafer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver
Seehafer, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Seehafer and family, and Mr. and Mrs.
Hal Weichelt and family, of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Milton
Seehafer and family, Clintonville; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Seehafer and
family, Stratford; Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Miller and her daughter,
Mrs. Raymond Miller and daughter, of Colby; Mrs. Gust Busse, Albert
Busse, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Busse and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin
Busse and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Olson and family, all of
Abbotsford; and the Rev. and Mrs. F. H. Sprengler, of
Dorchester.
A mock wedding at the festivities provided much merriment for all who attended.
