Rev. Sprengler Observes 25th
Ordination Anniversary
On Thursday evening, Aug. 16th, the
25th anniversary of ordination and installation of the
Rev. F. H. Sprengler, pastor of Christ Lutheran and St.
Peter’s Lutheran churches was observed by the congregations.
Services were conducted at Christ Lutheran church of Abbotsford
with the Rev. R. Mueller of Spencer in charge.
After the service of thanksgiving and praise, the
congregations repaired to the basement of the church where a social
program and lunch had been arranged.
Herbert Juneau, principal of the Abbotsford
schools, acted as toastmaster. He called upon the chairman of the
congregations, Elroy Broeske of St. Peter’s and Alvin
Goldamer of Christ church, and a number of pastors, who all offered
congratulations and words of encouragement to Pastor and Mrs.
Sprengler. The anniversary cake was baked and decorated by Mrs.
Otto Busse. A cash purse was presented to the celebrant at the
close of the observance.
Rev. Sprengler was ordained at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, town of Reseburg.
