Provinski, Mr./ Mrs. Frank (50th
Anniv. - 28 Oct. 1956)
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Provinski, town of Johnson,
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, Oct. 28, with
open house to relatives and friends.
Two of their daughters, who were present, were
Miss Margaret Provinski and Mrs. Foster (Ruth) Olson, Milwaukee,
and the others are Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Blackburn, Mason City, Ia.;
and Mrs. Joseph (Marion) Mollica, Milwaukee, who were unable to
attend.
The couple were married in Colby Oct. 30, 1906.
They operated a farm in the town of Frankfort until 1919; sold it
and moved to Abbotsford. After a year they moved to the town of
Johnson, where they still reside.
After retiring from farming, Mr. Provinski worked
as a carpenter.
He was born in the town of Hull in 1882 and his
wife, the former Ida Strebe, was born in the town of Johnson in
1887.
The couple received many cards and
gifts.
Guests present for the celebration were from Abbotsford, Colby, Athens, Spencer, Wausau, and Marshfield.
