Jordan, Frederick John (24 April 1903 - 24
September 1952)
Frederick John Jordan, 49, died at his home at
Neillsville Route 3 at 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September
24.
The
body lay in state at the Bergemann Funeral Home until services were
conducted on Friday at 9:00 o’clock from St. Mary’s
Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father M. J. Kelnhofer officiating.
The body was taken to Caledonia for interment.
Mr.
Jordan was born April 24, 1903, in Milwaukee. His mother died
when he was six weeks old and he and his father lived in Milwaukee
until he was five years of age. Then they moved to Caledonia,
where he resided until four years ago. The family then moved
to Neillsville. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic
Church and of the Holy Name Society.
Mr.
Jordan was married to Catherine Schober on May 1.1935, at
Milwaukee. He is survived by his wife and five children, Frederick,
Jr., August, Catherine, paul and Henry, all at
home.
A
requiem high mass was read Friday morning at 9:00 o’clock at
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. M. J.
Kelnhofer as celebrant, for Frederick J. Jordan. Interment
was made in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery at
Caledonia.
Pallbearers were Ray Boge, Anton Erpenbach,
Francis Langreck, Harold Langreck, Frank Maus and Jacob
Schmidt.
Relatives from out of town attending the rites included Mr. and Mrs. Casper Linder, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Lindner, Mrs. Catherine Schmitz, Mrs. Gerald Denk, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lindner, Mr. and Mrs. John Lindner, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kolnhofer, all of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Casper Schober of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. William Rischette of Tomah; Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Schmitz of Sparta; Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Kanable, Mrs. and Mrs. Jacob Schober of Tomah; Douglas Schober of La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. John Schober of West Salem; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Reynen of Eau Claire; Mrs. Adolph Schober of Cataract; Mrs. Henry Schultz of Eau Claire.
