Vornholt, Ruth (Marriage - 8 October 1952)
Ruth Vornholt is Bride in California Wedding -
Ruth Vornholt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Vornholt of
Neillsville, has become the bride of Jesse M. James and will make
her home in Los Angeles. Her husband is in the employ of the
Rick Helicopter Co. He served with the army in Korea, and
after his discharge was ground man for the Rick organization in
Alaska.
Ruth was graduated from the Neillsville High
School and was trained as a nurse in Milwaukee and
Chicago.
The
wedding took place October 8 at the Church of the Wayfarer at
Carmel, Cal. The bride was given by her uncle, Paul Vornholt,
who served as a proxy for the bride’s father, Mark
Vornholt. The Bride was attended by Edith L. Peterson, who
was a nurse with Ruth at the Portland County Hospital.
Following the ceremony an informal reception was held at the Paul
Vornholt home atop Jacks Peak.
The young husband is son of The Rev. and Mrs. Robert L. James of Crowell, Texas.
