Bladl, Charles (9 November 1869 - 25 October
1952)
Charles Bladl, 82, formerly of Granton, and more
recently of Marshfield, died at his home Saturday, October 25, of
complications following an illness of several
weeks.
The
body lay in state at the Bergemann Funeral Home, where a general
rosary was said at eight o’clock on Monday
evening.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at St.
Mary’s Catholic Church and interment was made in the parish
cemetery. The Rev. Father Peter Zic
officiated.
Mr.
Bladl was born November 9, 1869, in Bavaria, Germany. He came
to this country in 1872 and lived in Pennsylvania and
Minnesota. On February 20, 1900, he was married to Frances
Schultz at Hokah, Minn., and following their marriage they moved to
the Town of Lynn. In 1917 they moved to Granton, where they
operated a tavern until 1950, when he retired and moved to
Marshfield.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Carl Bladl of Granton; Mrs. Katherine Bray of Pasadena, Cal.; Mrs. Michael (Ann) Zahradka of Granton; Paul Bladl of Owen; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, John Bladl of Plain, Wis.; and one sister, Mrs. Josephine Guenther of Hokah, Minn.
