Curtiss, Wisconsin

School opened Monday with about eighty pupils, with Miss Dahlberg and Mr. Heagle as teachers.

Misses Baker and Lubner came from Thorp Monday to take charge of their schools north of town.

Miss Lorenzer of Marshfield, is visiting Fred Richter and family.

Mr. Janke left for Alverno Thursday.

Emil Johnson and sisters are attending the fair at Minneapolis.

Matt Lee and Olaf and Julius Olsen went to Medford Monday to work in the woods.

Mike Carlon and wife of Longwood, made a short stay in Curtiss Thursday.

A large number of the young people attended the opening of Meyer's new hall at Green Grove Sunday. Music by the Colby orchestra.

Felix the Carpenter is with us again.

R. Ramsdell, representing the Barron Woolen Mills, is calling on the farmers this week.

J. C. Burkhart of Milwaukee, who spent a few days visiting his brother, Charles, last week, returned home Monday.

Henry Machlett is attending the fair at Milwaukee.

Wm Mantley and wife visited relatives at Stevens Point last week.

O. A. Dahlberg and Arnold went to Westboro Monday.

Quite a number of men from Waupaca are here looking at the country with the intention of locating if found suitable.
