Zimmerman Bros. are threshing in this country west of here.
Frank and Matt Story went plumbing down on Muskrat creek Sunday.
John Verkilven, Sr. who recently sold his farm to Geo. Evans moved to Thorp last week.
A new iron bridge is being put in across Rogers creek on the main road.
Mack McCaik has his saloon building nearly enclosed.
W. E. Powell, barber, drayman and proprietor of the village hall, has closed out his business here and gone to Westboro, where he has taken a logging job. His family will follow as soon as he gets a place ready for them.
Alex Raymond has purchased a complete barber outfit and will hereafter do his part toward keeping the gentlemen of this place presentable.
George Eaton has opened a boarding house in his commodious building on the east side.
J. R. Baxter who has run a boarding house for the past five years has gone out of the business.
Robert Mosher and Frank have gone to visit relatives in Minnesota.
Evenson & Anderson caused a granary to be erected on this premises last week.
Mrs. J. W. Cusick, suffered the loss of a cow last week. The animal broke its leg in some manner and had to be killed.
Attorney Angwick of Stanley, has notified the town board of Thorp, that the fight for a new school district will be continued.
