Morse, Gladys   (22 MAY 1946)

A very pretty wedding took place in the Trinity Lutheran church here at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, with the Rev. J. C. Langholz officiating, when Harold Huntington of Norwalk took his bride Miss Gladys Morse of Loyal.

Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Johnson of Loyal and Gilbert Krause and Geraldine Barclay of Norwalk. The bride was given in marriage by her grandfather, Edward Morse.

The bride wore a white satin dress with flowing veil and carried a bouquet of flowers. Mrs. Johnson wore pink satin with lace overdress, and Miss Barclay wore blue satin with lace overdress. The bride’s attendant also carried flowers.

Mrs. Martha Dux and Mrs. Laura Dux sang the hymns for the wedding. For something borrowed the bride wore her sister’s pearls, and for something old she wore her grandmother’s handkerchief.

After the ceremony, covers were laid for about 25 guests at the home of her sister, Mrs. Norman Johnson. A shower was given at the Ed Morse home for the young couple on Monday night. Many nice presents were received from her old neighbors and friends.

The couple will reside on a farm near Norwalk, the groom’s home. The bride has been employed at Norwalk for a year and a half.

The Loyal Tribune joins their many friends in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.
