McKenzie, Mabel (04 DEC 1870-20 JUNE 1946)
Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel L. McKenzie, 75, who died at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, at St. Joseph’s hospital in Marshfield, where she has been taken the day before, were conducted at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the First Presbyterian church in Marshfield. A complication of ailments caused her two-year illness and subsequent death.
The Rev. Arthur R. Oates had charge of the rites, and burial was made in the Loyal cemetery. During the service, "In the Garden" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" were sung by Mrs. J. H. Cundy and Mrs. Harley Oligney.
Mrs. McKenzie, nee Walls, was born on Dec. 4, 1870, in Washington county and was married on Apr. 2, 1894, to James McKenzie of Loyal, who preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1925. She lived at Loyal before moving to Marshfield 25 years ago. She had been making her home there with her daughter, Mrs. Earl Anderson.
Surviving are two other daughters, Mrs. Frank (Ruth) Molthen of Los Angeles, Cal, and Mrs. Alfred (Emma) Storm of Elmhurst, Ill. Ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren and four sisters also survive.
Two brothers and one sister, William and George Walls, and Mrs. Grace Turner, all formerly of Loyal preceded the decedent.
