Edgar Sagen, 45, of 119 West 19^th Street, died at his home on Thursday following an illness of three weeks.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday at two o’clock from the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church with the Rev. Jacob Grether officiating.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The body lay in state at the Georgas Funeral Home until one o’clock on Monday, when it was taken to the church to lie in state.

Mr. Sagen was born on October 8, 1907, at Pigeon Falls, to Magnas Sagen.  He received his education at Pigeon Falls and has been an auto mechanic most of his life.  He served in World War II, enlisting at Fort Sheridan, Ill., on September 22, 1942, and he received his discharge on September 27, 1944.  He has been employed at the Ford garage since that time.

 
On May 30, 1942, he was married to Eleanor Epding at Neillsville.  He is survived by his wife and four children: Edgar John, Sylvia Ruth, Dorothy Mae and Barbara Jean, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Sagen of Hixton; four brothers - William Sagen, Arcadia, Maynard Sagen of Pennsylvania, Oliver Sagen of LA Crosse and Lawrence Sagen of Pigeon Falls; and one sister, Mrs. Spencer (Janet) Hanson of Onalaska, Wis.
