Lenzkow, Herman August (29 October 1889 - 19 December 1952)
Herman August Lenzkow, 63, died at a La Crosse
hospital on Friday morning following an illness of six
months.
The body reposed at the Georgas Funeral Home until time of service on Monday, when it was taken to the St. John’s Lutheran Church. There rites were held at two o’clock with the Rev. Alfred Schewe officiating. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mr. Lenzkow was born on October 29, 1889, to Carl
and Amilia (Barteldt) Lenzkow at Ladysmith. He moved to Clark
County with his parents when he was seven years old and has since
resided here.
On October 25, 1911, he was married to Vlasta
Triska at Neillsville. They resided on the home farm for 48 years
moving to the city in 1944. He was employed by the city for two
years and by the Clark County Highway Department for the past five
years. He was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran
Church.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters,
Mrs. Art (Dorothy) Dux of Neillsville and Mrs. LaVerne (Alice) Rowe
of La Crosse, six grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Joseph
(Lillian) Rasch of Chicago, Ill., also survive. Two daughters
preceded him in death.
