Lesniewski, Helen #2 (8 NOV 1893 - 1 JAN 1954)

Funeral services were conducted by Father Hebert Zoromski at St. Hedwig’s Church at ten o’clock Tuesday morning, Jan. 5^th for Mrs. Anton Lesniewski, 60, who passed away at her home in the Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) on Jan. 1, 1954, following a long illness.

Helen Jurkoski was born in Poland on Nov. 8, 1893.  She came to America in July 1909 and resided in Chicago for a number of years.  She was united in marriage to Anton Lesniewski on Sept. 30, 1930, at St. Hedwig’s Church in Thorp, and lived in her farm home here during her entire married life.

She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Cecelia of Thorp; one brother and two sisters in Poland, and several distant relatives in Chicago, Ill.

She was laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Johan Basta of Chicago, Charles Fitt, Abrams, Wis., Adam Wiater, Thorp, Edward Sluzewski, Owen, Stanley Zuzelski, Milwaukee and John Rogalski, Thorp.

Relatives and friends here to attend the funeral came from Chicago, Pound, Abrams, Milwaukee, Mosinee, Abbotsford, Owen, Withee, Medford and St. Paul.
