County News
Pleasant Ridge
F. J. Vine and wife of Lac du Flambeau, spent last week in visiting friends on the Ridge, and attending the county fair.
Mr. Stenewald of Spokeville, on his way from Milwaukee, stopped over a few days for a visit with his sister, Mrs. Amiel Jahr.
Mrs. Oscar Fricke of Greenwood, visited with her cousin, Mrs. Wm. Gerhardt, Thursday.
C. A. Younmans had just finished cutting seventy acres of as fine corn as was ever raised in Clark county.
S. Wren brought home a brand new McCormick corn binder recently.
Ed. Einfeldt of Greenwood, stopped at H. O. Huckstead's Thursday and Friday, holding a gospel meeting at the church Friday evening. May success attend him in the grand work he has undertaken.
There will be a union basket sociable at Mrs. Lon Huckstead's next Friday evening for the benefit of Revs. Scoville and Ganfield.
Mrs. Etta Carter of Lac du Flambeau is visiting her brother, Fred Vine, of the Ridge.
School began in the Reed district on Monday, with Nellie Montgomery as teacher.
