The Rev. and Mrs. Cecil Ward took over pastoral duties at the Methodist Church in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) Sunday.  They recently returned from Kingston of Thames, England.

The Rev. Ward, who served a parish at Black River Falls until a year ago, when he returned to England for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth, was assisted at his initial sermon in Thorp by the Rev. A. J. Henry of Eau Claire.

In addition to the Thorp church, the Rev. Ward will serve parishes at Stanley and Withee.  He succeeds the Rev. Lelan Shaw, who was called to another parish several months ago.

The Rev. and Mrs. Ward will live in the home of Mrs. F. L. Goddard at Stanley, pending completion of a new parsonage being built next to the Methodist Church at Stanley.
