Hodorowski, Mary (20 MAY 1882 - 13 JAN 1954)
Funeral services were conducted by Father Francis Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church at 10 o’clock Saturday morning, Jan. 16, for Mrs. Albert Hodorowski, 71 years, 8 months and 24 days, who passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley of a lingering illness on Jan. 13, 1954, this marking the 15th anniversary of the death of her daughter, Clara Czernicki.
Mary Musial was born in Poland on May 20, 1882, and came to America in July 1898, and resided in Milwaukee. She was united in marriage to Albert Hodorowski on July 20, 1899, at St. Casmir’s Church in Milwaukee. They came to Thorp in 1907, and resided on a farm in the Town of Withee.
She is survived by her husband and eight children, four sons, Joseph and John of Milwaukee, and Harry and Frank, both of Thorp, and four daughters, Mrs. John (Anna) Tomkowiak, Mrs. Bill (Helen) Leski, both of Milwaukee; Mrs. Joseph (Rose) Zeilinski of Stratford, and Mrs. Alfred (Pauline) Zielanis of Thorp; one brother, Andrew Musial of Milwaukee, and 28 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Three children preceded her in death, two daughters, Clara (Hodorowski) Czernicki, and Molly, who died at five months, and one son, Adam, who died in infancy.
She was laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Adam Waiter, John Graikowski, John Mikrut, Joseph Lang, Joseph Konieczny and Stanley Hucker.
Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Joseph Hodorowski, Mr. and Mrs. John Tomkowiak and Christine, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Leski and Carol, Mr. and Mrs. Connie Gryskiewicz, Florian Tomkowiak, Mrs. Bill Werner, Andrew Musial, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Musial, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Trenel of Galena, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Tomkowiak, Loyal, and Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Hilllery and Tony Lanesecki of Chippewa Falls.
