Larson, Walter (1 MAY 1887 - 30 JAN 1954)
Walter Larson, 64, of Bloomer, Wis., passed away at the Chippewa Falls Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 30th, 1954. He had suffered a stroke on Wednesday.
He was employed as fireman at the Chippewa County Dairy at Bloomer, where he had been for many years and previous to his moving to Bloomer had been engaged in that work at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.)
The deceased was born in Thorp on May 1, 1887, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hjalmer Larson, since deceased. He was brought up here and attended the local schools. On Oct. 2, 1912, he was united in marriage to Myrtle Phillips at Thorp. To this union was born five children, two of whom survive him.
He leaves to mourn, besides his wife, Myrtle, two daughters, Mrs. Ferne Frazer of Bloomer and Mrs. Lois Minter of Heidelberg, Germany, and one sister, Ella Larson of Minneapolis. Three children preceded him in death, Bobby, in infancy, Dorothy in 1945 and Bud in 1949.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Thalage at the Congregational Church in Bloomer at 2:00 o’clock, Feb. 4th, with interment following in the Bloomer Cemetery. The Babbitt boys, nephews of the deceased, served as pallbearers.
