Dalsbo, Beck (13 NOV 1901 - 14 MAR 1954)
Funeral services for Beck Dalsbo, 52, owner-operator of the Dalsbo Ice & Coal Co., Port Washington, were held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon last at Port Washington by the Rev. W. F. Theiss of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Interment was in the Port Washington, Wisconsin Union Cemetery.
Dalsbo was born at Oslo, Norway on Nov. 13, 1901, and came with his parents to this country when three years old, the family settling at Stevens Point, Wis. He worked there as express agent for the Soo Line, and about 10 years ago went to Port Washington where he started the Dalsbo Ice Co. On Nov. 18, 1945, he was married at Port Washington to Mary Oberle Turenne, formerly of the city of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
He was killed Monday afternoon in an accident when his ice truck left the road.
Survivors are his wife; one son, Keith of Chicago; two step-sons, Gerald and George Turenne of Port Washington; three grandchildren; three brothers, Marvin and Donald of Stevens Point, Byron of Cleveland; his mother, Mrs. Walter Landowski, and his step-father, Walter Landowski of Stevens Point.
Attending the funeral from Thorp were Mr. and Mrs. August Oberle, Mrs. Geo. Meske, Mrs. Martin Oberle, Mrs. Peter Larsen, B. G. Oberle, Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Schmidt, Leo Oberle and Mrs. Donald Bratz.
