Funeral services for Mrs. Jasper Kovacs, 79, who died Monday morning, were held this morning at St. Bernard’s Catholic church. The Rev. Raymond Schulz sang a requiem high mass at 9:30 o’clock, after which internment was made in the Abbotsford, Wisconsin Cemetery
 

The pallbearers were William Bogaard, Vern Dohm, Clarence Dolan, Anton Gengler, Al Holtzhausen, and Clarence Klieforth. 
 

Mrs. Kovacs was born Sophie Woltjer, in Hungary, April 3, 1877. In 1911, she went to Canada and in 1916, came to the town of Mayville. Her first husband, Tony Klettner, died in 1918. Her second marriage was to Jasper Kovacs, who survives her. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Kovacs moved from their farm in the town of Mayville, to Abbotsford in 1942. For some time, Mrs. Kovacs has been in failing health and was hospitalized at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, for the past four months, having undergone surgery for cancer. 
 

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Joe Klettner, Chicago. A son, Louis, died at the age of four years. 
 

There are three grand daughters, Mrs. Archie (Elaine) Melvin, Abbotsford, Route 1; Miss Goldie Klettner and Mrs. James (Bernadine) Grinnell, Chicago. Four great grand children also survive and one sister, who still lives in Hungary. 
 

Mrs. Kovacs was an honorary member of St. Bernard’s Altar Society. A general rosary service was held for her, Wednesday evening, at the Zink Funeral Home, where the body lay in state.
