Vernon (17 Nov. 1904 - 10 Feb. 1957)
Funeral
services for Vernon Peterson, 52, who died Feb. 10, were held
Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Lulloff Funeral
Home, Colby, with the Rev. Richard Harrison, of the Presbyterian
church, Abbotsford, officiating. Internment was made in the

Vernon
Peterson was born in Nov. 17, 1904, in Colby, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Nels Peterson. The family later lived in Abbotsford, where he
attended school. About 27 years ago, they moved to Milwaukee, where
the father died. Their present home is Green Bay, where Mr.
Peterson lived with his mother and sister, Anna Marie.
Vernon was a
marine radio operator on Great Lakes boats. After his retirement,
he had a radio repair shop at his home. He was unmarried.
Shortly
after Christmas, he underwent surgery at a Madison hospital and the
past three weeks was being cared for at his home where death
occurred Sunday.
Surviving him are his mother, Mrs. Susan Peterson, sister, Anna Marie, of Green Bay; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Jessie) Johnson, of Withee; and Mrs. Neil Vater, of Owen; and one brother, Lee "Gerry," of Milwaukee.
