Hundt, Paul
(15 Dec. 1886 - 16 Feb. 1957)
Paul Hundt,
70, Route 1, Abbotsford, Wisconsin, was found dead in the bedroom of his farm
home northwest of here, about 3:00 p.m. Saturday. According to an
Abbotsford physician, death apparently was due to "cardiac
congestive failure."
The body was
discovered by Walter Nixdorf, a neighbor, who stopped to see if
Hunt "needed anything from town." He said that Hundt suffered from
asthma and a heart condition and that he seemed to have difficulty
in breathing Wednesday, when Nixdorf had last seen him.
Hundt, who
lived alone, is believed to have died some time Wednesday night.
The death was investigated by Sheriff Ray Kutsche and Coroner
Robert Lulloff, Neillsville, Clark county officials.
A lifetime
resident of the town of Mayville, Paul Hundt was born in Dorchester
Dec. 15, 1886. He was a member of Peace Evangelical and Reformed
church and the Legion post of Dorchester. He had never
married.
Survivors
are two sisters, Miss Rose Hundt, Madison, and Mrs. Julia Usilton,
De Forest, and one brother, Ben Hundt, Duluth. Another brother,
George, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Peace church at Dorchester and burial was made in the parish cemetery. The Rev. Fred Kollath officiated.
