Mrs. Rudolph
Younker, 46, died at Wisconsin General hospital, Madison, at 12:30
a.m. Wednesday. She had been a patient there since Thursday and
underwent surgery for a brain tumor Tuesday.
The body is
lying in state at the Zink Funeral Home. A rosary service will be
held Friday evening at St. Bernard’s Catholic church, after
the Lenten devotions. The funeral mass will be said at St.
Bernard’s church at 9:30 Saturday morning, after which
internment will be made in the
Abbotsford Wisconsin Cemetery. The Rev.
Raymond Schulz will officiate.
Mrs.
Younker, the former Mae St. Austin Stange, was born May 1, 1910, in
Wausau and received her education in the town of Hoard. Her
marriage to Rudolph Younker took place Nov. 8, 1933, in St.
Louis’ parsonage at Dorchester.
The Younkers
resided in Curtiss and Marshfield for a short time after their
marriage, going to Greenwood from Marshfield. They came to
Abbotsford about three years ago.
Survivors
include her husband; her mother, Mrs. Mae Keefe, Wausau; and five
children, Mrs. Nyle (Marie) Brandt, Loyal; Mrs. Verlyn (Loretta)
Pockrandt, Loyal; and Darlene, Sharon and Dennis at home. Twin sons
and a daughter died in infancy.
Also
surviving are three grand children, a brother, John Stange, Wausau;
and a sister, Mrs. Sadie Wade, Milwaukee.
Mrs. Younker was a member of the Altar Society of St. Bernard’s church.
