Wepfer,
Harold W. (9 Jan. 1901 - 29 Apr. 1957)
Services
will be held at Marshfield at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Hansen
Funeral Chapel for Harold W. Wepfer, 56, former Abbotsford garage
man and a native of Marshfield.
His death
occurred unexpectedly on Monday afternoon at his home in Bethesda,
Md., where he had been living the past year with his wife and
daughter, Maurine. They had previously lived in Florida since he
retired from the garage business in 1955, for health
reasons.
Mr. Wepfer
was born in Marshfield Jan. 9, 1901, and at an early age moved to
Colby, where he lived here until his marriage to Norma Zahorka May
21, 1929, in Waukegan, Ill. They lived in Eau Claire before moving
to Abbotsford in 1934. Two years later he built the Motor Inn
Garage, which he operated until ill health forced him to
retire.
Besides his
wife and daughter, he leaves his son, Myron, Abbotsford; three
grand children, Rodney, Duane and Lou Anne Wepfer, Abbotsford; his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wepfer, Colby, and three sisters,
Mrs. Herbert (Altine) Stoltzman, Marshfield; Mrs. Harold (Maydell)
Brockhaus, Colby, and Mrs. Delbert (Goldie) Klepzig, Decatur,
Ill.
Beginning
Thursday noon, friends may call at the Hansen Funeral Home. William
Peterson and Robert Wiseman will conduct the final rites and burial
will be made in Hillside cemetery.
