Services
will be held at Greenwood Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Stabnow
Funeral Home for Philip Henry Christie, 68, Riplinger, who died at
4:30 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's hospital, Marshfield, a few hours
after being admitted. He became ill while at work.
The Rev.
Charles Koch, pastor of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, will
conduct the services and burial will be made in the Greenwood
Cemetery.
Mr. Christie
was born in Christie, Aug. 24, 1888, and obtained his education at
the Eaton Center school. For many years he operated a livery stable
at Greenwood and in 1930 came to Abbotsford where he was employed
as a garage mechanic for 21 years. For the past five years he had
lived in Riplinger and was employed at a box
factory.
He is survived by his widow, the former Dimples Stafford, whom he married Nov. 25, 1944, at Owen; and two brothers, Free Christie, Neillsville; and High Christie, Greenwood. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
