Lindau,
Shirley Ann (Marriage - 22 June 1957)
Miss Shirley
Ann Lindau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Lindau, Curtiss, and
Verdyane D. Hanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtiss R. Hanson, Osseo,
exchanged marriage vows Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Martin Krause
officiated at the 2 o’clock service at the Evangelical
Lutheran church, Curtiss.
The bride
was escorted down the white carpeted aisle by her father. She wore
a gown of Chantilly lace and tulle over satin, its bouffant skirt
detailed with appliquéd flowers. The bodice’s scooped
neckline complemented the line of the long lace sleeves. Her
imported French illusion veil cascaded from a crown of seed pearls
and iridescent sequins, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses and
white daisies.
The bride
was attended by Miss Marie Beede, a friend from River Falls, who
acted as maid of honor. Miss Beede’s dress was orchid tulle,
and she carried a white lace basket filled with white daisies and
orchid mums.
Fred Beede,
a friend from River Falls, served the groom as best man. Ross
Fiedler, Minneapolis, and David Lindau, the bride’s brother,
were ushers.
Navy blue
with white accessories was chosen by the bride’s mother for
her dress. The groom’s mother appeared in light blue and
white, and both had corsages of pink and white
carnations.
One hundred
and fifty guests attended the reception and luncheon at the home of
the bride.
Following a short honeymoon trip to northern Wisconsin, the couple will make their home in Madison, where the groom is enrolled at the University of Wisconsin.
