Pleasant Ridge

Mr. and Mrs. H. Counsell left last Tuesday for a short visit with relatives at Red Wing, Minn.

Clayton Vine and Archie Wilding are spending a few days at Alma Center, with the latter's sister, Mrs. Ida Grower.

Bert Ayers is quite ill with the typhoid fever.

The Pleasant Ridge postoffice has been removed to Robert Knuth's, the former postmistress, Mrs. Louise Handke, having resigned.

Mr. Haag, wife and little girl of Sheboygan county, are visiting with her parents, Chas Elsentraust and wife.

Fred Vine received an express last Thursday, a fine, full-blooded Shropshire ram.

Arlo Huckstead also received a fine Poland China hog last week, from the southern part of the state. Who says we haven't some progressive farmers on the Ridge?

Those attending the social at Lon Huckstead's spent a very pleasant evening. Proceeds about $14.

Farmers in this locality are busy this week finishing up the fall threshing.
