Thyra Nielson went to Neillsville last Saturday to see Mr. Sturdevant in the interest of our school.
N. Madsen of Minneapolis, was at Withee last week and while here, bought a lot in the north part of the town from A. C. Nielsen.
F. Christensen of Austin, Minn., was here last week and bought 40 acres of land. It is stated that he will use the land for a nursery ground.
Rev. A. S. Nielsen will be at Big Flatt next Sunday to conduct a meeting at that place.
The election for the taxation of the saloons came out with a large majority for the highest sum. $400 per annum.
The carpenters who have been at work on the different buildings have been compelled to lay off during the rainy days.
Fred Nielsen left for Chicago last Saturday where he will buy his stock of hardware and furniture. His main object, however, is of a much more poetical nature. We expect to see him back next week accompanied by his pretty young wife. The ceremony will take place at Chicago at the home of the bride.
A. C. Nielsen intends to build a residence this fall opposite Carl Andreasen's house which is under construction now.
