Neitzel, Vera Marie (Marriage - 21 Aug. 1957)

The new Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Jensen greeted about 200 guests at their wedding reception and supper at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Neitzel, Curtiss, Wednesday, Aug. 21, following the ceremony that afternoon at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Curtiss. Guests came from Abbotsford, Chicago, Curtiss, Dorchester, Medford, Merrill, Milwaukee, Owen, Unity, Whittlesey, Glidden, Colby, Rochester, Minn., and Reedsburg, Arizona.

The bride, the former Vera Marie Neitzel, was given in marriage by her father. For her wedding, the bride wore a gown of lace and nylon and her veil of French illusion was lace edged. Red roses, white pompons and lily of the valley were combined in her bouquet.

Miss Lorraine Neitzel, cousin of the bride, of Curtiss, was maid of honor. Mrs. Melvin Fischer, sister of the groom, of Dorchester, and Mrs. Karl Buchholz, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids. White was chosen for the maid of honor and blue for the bridesmaids, in their similarly styled gowns of lace and net. Their headpieces were of nylon and horse hair and their bouquets were of mums and gladioli on a fan.

Deborah Buchholz, attired like the bride, was flower girl and carried blue and white mums in a white, satin basket. David Fischer, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.

Gene Jensen was best man. Melvin Fischer and Karl Buchholz attended the groom. Ushers were Arlan Hamm, cousin of the bride, of Curtiss, and Jack Jensen, brother of the groom.

Mr. Jensen, who attended Abbotsford high school, is employed at the American Box Board Company at Colby. They will live at Dorchester.
