Funeral
services for Mrs. Leo Banditt, 67, who died Friday, were held at
the Zink Funeral Home, Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock.
During the services, conducted by the Rev. David A. Rockefeller, of
the Presbyterian church, Marshfield, two hymns, "Abide With Me,"
and "My Faith Looks Up to Thee," were sung by Mrs. Elmer Jensen
with Mrs. J. F. Samson playing the accompaniment.
Pallbearers
for the internment, which was made in the Abbotsford cemetery, were
William Beil, Frank Brodhagen, George Heida, Al Holtzhausen, H. T.
Ketcham and Walter Kuenzi.
The many
beautiful floral tributes were in charge of Mmes. Fred Bobbe, Leo
Bumann, Al Holtzhausen, and Joe Sulik.
Among the
close relatives from away attending the funeral were Mrs. Anna
Lang, Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hagen, Marshfield; Mrs. Albert
Brown, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brown and Mr. and Mrs.
Neil Ramaker, Edgar. Other relatives and friends came from
Abbotsford, Dorchester, Curtiss, and Athens.
Mrs. Banditt
was born Lena Hagen at Fieldon, Ill., Dec. 7, 1889. She received
her education in the Dorchester public schools and attended Central
State College, Stevens Point. She taught at Westboro for five years
and the Liberty school, northwest of Abbotsford. She and Leo
Banditt were united in marriage at Dorchester June 19, 1913, and
for the past 43 years resided in Abbotsford.
Mrs. Banditt
had been ill only a short time and was admitted to St.
Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, Tuesday. Death, caused by a
coronary thrombosis, occurred Friday at 2:45 a.m.
Surviving are her husband, one sister, Mrs. Anna Lang, Dorchester, and one brother, Henry Hagen, Marshfield. Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
