Klevgard,
Muriel Heloise (Marriage - 27 Sept. 1957)
Mr. and Mrs.
Dale Carlson, who were married Sept. 27, were honored at a
reception held Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the home of his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Lawrence Carlson.
The
newlyweds have returned from a honeymoon trip in northern Minnesota
and are living in the second house on the farm of the groom’s
parents.
Miss Muriel
Heloise Klevgard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Klevgard, and
Dale Edward Carlson were united in marriage in a double ring
ceremony in Durand, Sept. 7, at 11:30 before County Judge Joseph H.
Riedner.
Attending
the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Leon Huisman, of St. Paul,
brother-in-law and sister of the bride. Completing the wedding
party were Miss Beth Carlson, Abbotsford, sister of the groom, and
Roland Klevgard, Durand, brother of the bride.
A white,
street length dress of brocaded taffeta and white accessories were
chosen by the bride. She pinned a corsage of roses and stephanotis
to the shoulder line of her dress.
The matron
of honor wore an ice blue brocaded taffeta dress and the bridesmaid
was similarly attired in pink brocaded taffeta. They wore matching
accessories and a corsage of pink and white
carnations.
After the
ceremony, a dinner was served in the River Room of Clara’s
Café in Durand, followed by a reception at the home of the
bride’s parents.
Prior to her marriage, the bride attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing at Rochester, Minn. Her husband is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school and attended Wisconsin State College at River Falls.
