Erickson,
Patricia Jane (Marriage - 21 Sept. 1957)
In a
candlelight ceremony at the First Presbyterian church, Abbotsford,
Saturday evening, Miss Patricia Jane Erickson became the bride of
Ray Seefeldt, of Marshfield. The Rev. Douglas Oyan of the First
Presbyterian church of Marshfield read the double ring ceremony.
Mrs. Oyan sang "O Perfect Love," and "The Lord’s Prayer."
Mrs. Jerome Rankl was organist and accompanied Mrs.
Oyan.
Parents of
the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. William S. Erickson, Route 1,
Curtiss, and Mr. and Mrs. Bernhardt Seefeldt, of Marshfield, Route
1.
The bride,
who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white all-lace
gown, ballerina length. Rhinestones and gold stitching detailed the
fitted bodice made with a scoop neckline and fitted three-quarter
length sleeves. A crown of seed pearls secured her shoulder length
nylon tulle veil and seed pearls and white satin ribbons were
interspersed with the red roses in her cascade bouquet. Pearl
earrings and necklace completed her ensemble.
Attending
the bridal couple were the bride’s brother-in-law and sister,
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burt, Marshfield.
Mrs.
Burt’s formal was of nylon tulle in winter green. With it she
wore a matching stole and carried a cascade bouquet of fall flowers
in shades of yellow and gold. Similar flowers were worn in her
hair.
Mrs.
Erickson appeared at her daughter’s wedding in a lace dress
of sandalwood with matching accessories while Mrs. Seefeldt wore
brown with beige accessories. Both mothers had corsages of pink
roses.
The two
maternal grand mothers of the couple were present and each had a
corsage of pink and white carnations. Mrs. Eliza Nichols, of
Marshfield, is the grandmother of the bride, and Mrs. Annie
Hardrath, of Riplinger, is the groom’s
grandmother.
Following
the ceremony a buffet supper was served to the immediate families
at the home of the bride’s parents.
When Mr. and
Mrs. Seefeldt return from a honeymoon trip to Canada, they will
make their home on the groom’s farm, west of
Marshfield.
The bride, a graduate of the Abbotsford high school, in 1957, was employed at the Marshfield Clinic prior to her marriage. The groom, a graduate of the Marshfield high school, is an overseas veteran and a farmer.
