Buell, Loys
(18 Dec. 1886 - 22 Nov. 1957)
Funeral
services for Loys Buell, 70, who died Nov. 22, were held Sunday
afternoon. On Wednesday, Mr. Buell had been taken to St.
Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, where death occurred at 5:50
a.m. Friday, due to a heart attack and
complications.
The Rev.
Harold Welch, pastor of Salem Evangelical United Brethren church,
of Dorchester, officiated at the funeral rites at the Zink Funeral
Home at 2:00 o’clock and internment which followed in the
Abbotsford cemetery.
Pallbearers
were Oscar Olson, Harold Schulz, Louis Lueddecke, Fred Leonhardt,
Otto Busse, and John Busse.
Among
relatives and friends from away who came for the funeral were Mrs.
Florence Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Felhofer, Marshfield; Robert
Nelson, Stevens Point; Miss Hattie Mead, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Art
Graner, Galesville; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Reichersamer, Spooner;
Marvin Schrader, River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schrader and
Donna Mae and Mrs. Elizabeth Bunke, Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Sievert, Stratford; Dr. and Mrs. W. W. Payne and Mr. and
Mrs. Tony Kriplean, Colby.
Mr. Buell
was born Dec. 18, 1886, in Bangor, N.Y. He received his education
at La Crosse where he later worked as a street car conductor for
eight years. He lived for a short time at Phillips.
On Oct. 25,
1913, he and Miss Bessie Mead were united in marriage at
Neillsville. They made their home on a farm in the town of Holton
until 1952 when they retired and came to Abbotsford where they
built a home.
He is survived by his widow and three daughters: Mrs. Arthur (Florence) Schrader, Dorchester; Mrs. Ethel Reichersamer, Abbotsford; and Mrs. .....missing content.
