County News

 

Humbird, Wisconsin 

 

O. D. Sires has sold his village property to the F.M. E. for a parsonage.

 

Archie Carter left Sunday for Madison to attend school.

 

H. Freeman's family of Fairchild, visited with his parents Sunday.

 

Mame Johnston of Cleveland, made our burg a call Sunday.

 

Essie Hart, who has been sick with typhoid fever, is on the road to recovery.

 

The football team of this place, played the Merrillan team on the fair grounds Saturday. Score, 11 to 0 in favor of Humbird. They will play Augusta here Saturday, Oct 6.

 

Mrs. Miller of Minneapolis, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. O. Heln, returned home Sunday.

 

Mrs. Nathan Rice leaves Wednesday for Olewein, Iowa, to join her husband.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Michols of Komar City, Ia., who have been the guests of Abe Fredenburg's people, returned to their home Monday.

 

Mrs. Combs and Miss Washburn, of St. Paul, are visiting with Mrs. A. Horrell.

 

L. Markham and family left last week for New York, where they intend to make it their future home.

 

Laura Briggs, of Merrillan, Sundayed with her mother at this place.

 

Gertie Loomis of Janesville, and Jessie Beck of Merrillan, visited with Mrs. I. P. Houghton Monday.

 

Mrs. Nakoth of Tomah, is sewing for Mrs. E. D. Carter.

 

Marry Carter left Sunday to visit at Madison a few days.
