Moczadlo, Michael (15 AUG 1873 - 6 MAY 1954)
Michael Moczadlo, 80, passed away at his home in Chicago on Thursday, May 6th, 1954, after a lingering illness.
Michael Moczadlo was born in Poland on Aug. 15, 1873. He came to America in the year 1880 and resided at Minneapolis for a few years before coming to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and locating on a farm in the township of Withee. Upon retiring from farming here resided in the city of Thorp for a short time and then moved to Chicago several years ago.
He was married to Helen Wichlacz at Thorp on Feb. 13, 1900, who with one daughter, Mrs. Katherine Filipek of Chicago, survive him. Also left to mourn are five grandchildren, Edwin, Chester and Walter Filipek, Loretta, Mrs. Harry Burzynski and Henrietta, Mrs. Peter Flynn, and four great-grandchildren.
The remains of the deceased were brought to Thorp and funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church on Saturday morning, May 8th with interment following in the parish cemetery following in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Edwin, Walter and Chester Filipek, Harry Burzynski, Peter Flynn and Mike Strzok.
