County News
Granton, Wisconsin
Jno. Ebbe has purchased a house and lot of Mont Bailey. John and family will soon be residents here. York loses a citizen while Granton gains one.
W. H. Jeudevine made a trip to Loyal Tuesday, on business. W. H. is quite a hustler in the line of selling organs and pianos.
The infant child of Ed. Ackerman and wife died last week of cholera infantum.
Ed Grave's house, a mile north of here, was struck by lightning last Wednesday evening. The house was slightly damaged, and the occupants had a narrow escape of being killed by the electric bolt.
This is very discouraging weather. Farmers cannot do their work properly and corn and potatoes are rotting in the fields.
E. A. Beeckler has purchased a saw mill in the northern part of the county, which he is to stock and operate this winter.
A. L. Snyder and lady drove to York Center Sunday evening.
