Verna C. Scheibe, 94, of Abbotsford died at
Colonial House in Colby Monday, Oct. 12, 2009.
Her funeral arrangements are pending. The Maurina
Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is assisting the family with
arrangements.

ABBOTSFORD -- Verna C. Scheibe, 94, of Abbotsford
passed away peacefully at the Colonial House in Colby on Oct. 12,
2009.
Her funeral service will be at the Maurina
Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16,
2009. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the time
of service. The intern pastor, the Rev. Julie Gorenson from the
First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford, will officiate. Burial of
ashes will take place following the service at Abbotsford Public
Cemetery.
Verna was born Aug. 17, 1915, to Albert and Mary
(Severt) Schultz in Auburndale. She married Arthur Scheibe on June
20, 1932, in Minnesota. They later made their home in Abbotsford.
She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford
and a member of the Royal Neighbors for years. She enjoyed
gardening and spending time with her family.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Donald
(Dorothy) Scheibe of Stetsonville and Mary (Jerry) Adams of
Appleton. She is further survived by her granddaughters, Diane and
Judy; grandsons, Dennis, Daniel, Fraser, Grant, Colon and John; her
15 great-grandchildren, Sarah, Megan, Rebecca, Stefanie, Erin,
Gabrielle, Megan, Cyndy, Charlotte, Peter, Nicholas, Dylan, Jason,
Eric and Luke; stepgreat-grandchildren, Nathan and
Briana.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband,
Arthur Scheibe; a son, Robert Scheibe; a grandson and
great-grandson; two sisters, Helen Auberson and Myrtle Smith; three
brothers, Elmer, Harold and Earl; and parents, Albert and Mary
Schultz.
The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Abbotsford assisted the family with arrangements.
