Biegaj, Richard T (3 April 1927 - 24 October

Richard T. Biegaj, age 82, of Lublin, passed away
on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center in
Medford.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October
30, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic
Church, in Lublin, with Rev. Marion Talaga officiating. Burial will
follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the
church, on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of
service.
Pallbearers will be: Tony Allen, Patrick
Donnelly, Bryant Biegaj, Paul Storc, Tom Dubiak, and Bryan
Dubiak.
Richard T. Biegaj was born on April 3, 1927 in
Chicago, IL to Walter C. and Anna (Gierzynski) Biegaj, Sr. He
received his education at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Chicago.
During his childhood, Richard worked at his father’s bowling
alley. After completing his education, he was a tool and die
apprentice for a short time. He then entered the U. S. Navy,
where he served his country for two years. After his
discharge, Richard worked in Chicago for AMF for 10 years. He
was united in marriage to Adeline Sypek on July 30, 1947 at St.
Helen’s Catholic Church in Chicago. In 1969, Richard
and Adeline moved to Lublin, WI where they farmed on
Adeline’s family farm.
He
was a past member of the Vignola Sportsman’s Club of Chicago,
IL.
He
is survived by one son, Walter (Lula) Biegaj of Searcy, AR; and one
sister, Loretta Storc of Schaumburg, IL. He is further
survived by many nieces, nephews and good
friends.
He
was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Adeline, on January
2, 2001; one sister, Helen Kozie; and one brother, Walter C.
Biegaj, Jr.
