Moen, Virginia (15 January 1913 - 20 October
2009)
Virginia Moen, 96, of Schofield died Tuesday,
Oct. 20, 2009, at the Allison House surrounded by the caring staff
of the Allison House and ministry Health Care.
Virginia Moen was born Jan. 15, 1913, in
Neillsville, the daughter of Everett L. and Anna F. (Rupprecht)
Kleckner. She attended Neillsville Public Schools and Eau
Claire Teachers College. She was united in marriage July 24,
1937, to Raymond A. Moen in Decorah, IA. They lived in
Neillsville until 1942 and then moved to Augusta. They
returned to Neillsville in 1946. In 1980, they moved to
Schofield where Virginia was currently living at the Allison
House. Raymond died June 1, 1987.
She
is survived by her daughter, Rae Ann (Lee) Krejci of Weston; a son,
John Moen of Wisconsin Rapids; five grandchildren, Lisa (Kevin)
Kujawa of Weston, Kristy Lane of Mosinee, Lori (Jeremy) Thur of
Neillsville, Ken Moen of Green Bay and Rob Moen of Milwaukee; seven
great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean (Verne) Jewett of San Jose, CA;
and four nieces and their families in California. She is also
survived by her ex-daughter-in-law, Carol Wallner of
Florida.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, and a brother, Tommy
Kleckner.
A
private graveside service will be held at the Neillsville City
Cemetery at a later date.
