Pleasant Ridge

Edwin Billings began a five months' term of school in the Ackerman district to-day.

Mr. and Mrs. Waterpool lost a little girl this morning, from the dread disease diphtheria. They have the sympathy of the entire community in their loss.

Mr. and Mrs. Clemens Keichenmeister went to LaCrosse Saturday, where they will spend some time visiting relatives.

Mrs. Joe. Counsell entertained a small company of friends Monday, among them being a cousin from Waukesha.

The school at Kurth's corners is closed this week, on account of the diphtheria scare.

Frank Drescher's people had an old fashioned husking bee last Saturday evening, which was well attended by the young people.
