Yank, Betty Jane (Marriage –4 January
1953)
Miss Betty Jane Yank of Buffalo, N. Y. and Walter Gehrt were married January 4, 1953, at high noon in the Calvary Baptist Church in Wisconsin Rapids. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Lee Clinton of Wisconsin Rapids.
The bride was attired in a street length dress of
blue taffeta and wore a corsage of yellow roses. Her
attendant was Mrs. T. Schairo of Wisconsin Rapids. The groom
was attended by T. Schairo of Wisconsin Rapids.
A supper was served to the bridal party and guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Gehrt will reside at 840 First
Street North in Wisconsin Rapids.
Walter is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gehrt of Granton. He graduated from the Neillsville High School and served in the armed forces in the United States and in Korea. Since his discharge he has been employed in Wisconsin Rapids.
Guests from here attending the wedding were Mr.
and Mrs. Harland Gehrt, Granton, and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Gehrt of
Loyal.
