Piotrowski, Dolores M. (22 MAY 1954)

White gladioli and yellow mums decorated the altar of St. Stanislaus’ Church at Stevens Point Saturday when Miss Dolores Marie Piotrowski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Piotrowski, 2021 E. Main St., became the bride of Steven P. Wartolec, Chicago.

Rev. Leo Trojannowski performed the 9 o’clock ceremony.  St. Stanislaus’ Church in Stevens Point Church school choir sang during the nuptial mass which followed.

When Mr. Piotrowski gave his daughter in marriage she was wearing a princess style gown of imported lace and nylon tulle over satin.  Her lace bodice was fashioned with a boat neckline trimmed with iridescent beads and seed pearls.  The same lace was repeated as inserts in full skirt of the tulle over satin which ended in a train.

A fingertip veil of imported illusion fell from a lace Juliet cap trimmed with iridescent beads and pearls.  Her bouquet of white roses was centered with a white orchid.

Mrs. Vernon E. Piotrowski took her place as the bride’s matron of honor and Miss Georgia Bassel, the latter of Chicago, served as bridesmaid.  They were attired alike in gowns of ice blue taffeta with tiered nylon tulle skirts.  A crown of blue flowers held brief veils.  Both carried bouquets of pink carnations.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wartolec, Stanley, selected Vernon E. Piotrowski for his best man and Walter Czabor, Chicago, for his groomsman.  The guests were seated by Roman Drazuea and Bernard Mozuch.

Wedding festivities were held at Hotel Whiting, where 40 guests were served an 11 o’clock breakfast and 200 relatives and friends attended a 2 o’clock reception followed by a 5 o’clock dinner.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Wartolec are now on a honeymoon in northern Wis.  After May 29 they will be at home in Chicago where the bridegroom, a graduate of Stanley High School in 1947, has been employed at International Harvester Co.  The former Miss Piotrowski, a graduate of P. J. Jacobs High School in 1947 has been employed as an International Business Machine operator for the Motorola Co. in Chicago.

Among the guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. George Wartolec and Mr. and Mrs. Lars Larson, Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Dunn and Mr. and Mrs. Clements Piotrowski, Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pomeroy, Amherst, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Pelkay, Dorset, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Piotrowski, Los Angeles, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. William Sawyer, Green Bay, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Chick, La Cross, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrnece Durward, Racine, Mrs. Danny Konkol, Mr. and Mrs. Anselm Piotrowski, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Piotrowski, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pollen and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Paprocki, Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Kaminski, Matteson, Ill.,  Mr. and Mrs. William Neutout, Mr. and Mrs. J.
