Hebert, Mary Jane  ( 04 MAY 1921-30 SEPT 2009)

 

Mary Jane R. Hebert, 88, Marshfield, died peacefully on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Three Oaks Golden Living Center, Marshfield, with her family by her side. Services were held at 11 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 25 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spencer. Burial will take place in the West Spencer Cemetery.

 

Mary Jane R. Glasby was born on May 4, 1921, in Curtiss, to William and Emma (nee Moldenhauer) Glasby. She attended Woodland School in Curtiss and graduated from Colby High School. On Aug. 16, 1941, she married Donald L. Hebert, in Nillsville. After their marriage, the couple moved to a farm in Spencer, where together they raised their seven children and welcomed their extended family as it grew throughout the years. Their farm was home to all for 56 years. She moved to Three Oaks Golden Living Center in 2006, where she developed new friendships with the staff and residents. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, gardening, music and dancing, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

She is lovingly survived by her children, Betty (DuWayne) Matter, Spencer, Sharon (Andrew) Malovrh, Cedarburg, Kathleen (Bruce) Stewart, Chetek, Jeff (Jodi) Hebert, Mary (Spencer) Graves, Spencer, and Jacqueline (Kevin) Buse, Rosholt; a daughter-in-law, Kay Hebert, Marshfield; a sister, Virginia Hebert; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She will truly be missed.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Emma Glasby; her husband, Donald Hebert; one son, Roger Hebert; two great-grandsons Adan Dodge and Zachariah Stargardt; three sisters, Lorraine, Margaret, and Violet, and a brother, Paul.
