Anderson, Rodney "Andy"  (23 MAR 1951-27 OCT 2009)

 

Rodney M. "Andy" Anderson, 58. Chetek. died on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at his home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Chetek Lutheran Church. Burial was at Lakeview Cemetery, Chetek.

 

Rodney M. Anderson was born on March 23, 1951, to V, Gilman and Yvonne (nee Bailkey) Anderson. He lived in Chetek all his life. He married Rose Rakovec from Greenwood, on June 18, 1988, at the Chetek Lutheran Church. After graduating from Chetek High School in 1969, he attended college at Stout in Menomonie, and later continued his education in the insurance field. He also taught several classes for new agents. He worked as an insurance agent for Rural Mutual Insurance, Cameron, for 20 years. He worked at the Indianhead Insurance Agency, Chetek, for the last 20 years. He enjoyed hunting with his buddies of many years at the Webb cabin, in Barnes. Many fishing trips were enjoyed in northern Wisconsin, Minnesota and Canada. He played football and baseball in high school and college. Later, he enjoyed watching the Packers and Badgers play.

 

He was a member of the Chetek Lutheran Church, Chetek.

 

Survivors include his wife, Rose, Chetek; mother, Yvonne Anderson, Chetek; two sisters, Vicki Clark, Cameron, and Jo (Scott) Colby, Chetek; two nieces, Michelle Clark, Cameron, and Andee Colby, Cameron; two nephews, Joseph (Jessica) Clark, Chetek, and Mitch (Mandi) Colby, Eau Claire; three sisters-in-law, Pat (Alden) Dahl, Stanley, Joan (Ken) Severson, Greenwood, and Linda (David) Lawcewitz, Thorp; five brothers-in-law, Jerry (Teresa) Rukovec, Withee, Mike (Connie) Rakovec, Loyal, Gene (Lonna) Ralovec, Greenwood, Cyril (Rose) Rakovec, Pittsville, and Randy Rakovec, Greenwood; a great niece, Alexis Clark, Chetek; a great-nephew, Charles Clark, Chetek; his godson, James Moon, Chetek; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews from the greenwood area.

 

Preceding him in death were his father, V. Gilman Anderson; and brother-in-law, Charles J. Clark.

 

Burnham-Ours Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Chetek, assisted the family with arrangements.
