Herian, Henry Richard (12 March 1877 - 23 January 1953) 
 

Henry Richard Herian, 75, of Route 3, died at his home Friday Following several months’ illness. 
 

Funeral services were conducted on Monday at nine o’clock from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Peter Leketas officiating.  Burial was made in the parish cemetery. 
 

The body reposed at the Bergemann Funeral Home, where a General Rosary was said on Sunday evening. 
 

Mr. Herian was born March 12, 1877 to Joseph and Anna (Scherf) Herian at West Bend.  When a small boy he moved with his parents to a farm south of Neillsville in the Town of Pine Valley.  He attended Neillsville public schools and Business College in Wausau and La Crosse.  On November 16, 1906, he was married to Sadie Myers at Neillsville. They resided on the Herian farm south of Neillsville until five years ago, when they moved to a small farm north of the city. Mr. Herian was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. 
 

He is survived by his wife and four sons - Perry of Neillsville, Louis of East Troy, John of Oshkosh and Robert with the armed forces in Korea; also two sisters, Mrs. Anna Maxwell of Elk Falls, Kans., and mrs. Mary Blakslee of Minneapolis, Minn.   
 

He was preceded in death by two daughters, two brothers and one sister.
