Christy, Mary (April 5, 1860-Sept 14, 1910)

Mrs. James Christy died in a Superior hospital Sept. 14th, as a result of an operation.  The remains were brought here for interment.  Mrs. Christy was born Mary McKim in Canada, and was 50 years, 5 months and 9 days of age at the time of her death.  She came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McKim, to Clark County about 36 years ago.  She was married to James Christy and is survived by her husband and one son, Floyd.  For some years Mrs. Christy has resided at Lake Nebagamon.  She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters, Joseph of Town York, James of Canada, Mrs. C.A. Ackin of Whitehall, Mrs. Sam Christy of Town Eaton and Mrs. Ed Begley of Town York.  The funeral services were held Friday afternoon, Rev. Chapman conducting services at York Center Church and the interment being made at the York Center Cemetery.

Mrs. Christy was a true and noble woman and aroused a feeling of extreme friendliness in the hearts of all whom she met.
