Deitrich, Julia Anna (July 26, 1827-Oct 6, 1910)

Mrs. Julia Anna Deitrich died at the home of her son, John, in town of Grant, on Oct. 6th.  She was born Julia Anna Rausch on July 26, 1827, in Byern, Germany.  With her father, brothers and sisters, she came to America, first settling in Pennsylvania, later moving to Wisconsin and settling at Nasonville.  On April 8, 1859, she was united in marriage to Christian Deitrich, and they settled in the town of Grant, where she lived until the day of her death.  Mrs. Deitrich is survived by her husband and five children, John, Henry, Ernest, Chas. and Fred and one sister, Mrs. Ernest Sternitsky, of town Lynn.  Also nine grandchildren.  The funeral was held Sunday at the Grant Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Deitrich was a noble woman of kindly and charitable characteristics.  She was a splendid wife and mother and in the performance of her daily tasks made herself an ideal housewife.  She had a large circle of friends among the old settlers of the county, and she will be especially missed by these.
