Kronenberg, Wm. (Oct 10, 1910)
Monday night Wm. Kronenberg and Thom. Murphy broke jail and were at liberty until the next morning when they were arrested at Eau Claire and brought back by Sheriff Eunson. The two men had broken a small lock on their cell door and gained entrance to the passage. They had then reached through the window and secured a stick of four foot wood from the wood pile next to the jail and had pried the bars on one of the north windows far enough apart to allow them to crawl through, dropping to the ground with the aid of a blanket. Kronenberg is in jail for highway robbery and it is said has just been released from the penitentiary for a like complaint. Murphy is serving a 90 day sentence for larceny.
