Howard, Len (Car Accident-Nov 1, 1910)
Tuesday morning about 5 o’clock Len Howard came near having a bad auto accident. He was returning from the Greenwood dance with a party of young folks. As he crossed the railroad tracks the car skidded and Len could not steer it for a few moments. The car scraped the sidewalk at the Merchants Hotel and Miss Alice Neverman was thrown out and Miss Phillips was rendered unconscious. Outside of a general shaking up none of the party was seriously injured and all were taken home in the car.
Monday was an off day for autos, as axles were broken on John Kintzeles and W.R. Howard’s cars, and Frank Lynch’s car was out of commission.
